Traineeships are a new programme for young people who want to work, but who need extra help to gain an apprenticeship or job. It is an ideal opportunity for young people who lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for. The programme targets young people who have been applying unsuccessfully for apprenticeship and employment due to lack of skills or experience.
Who is suitable for a Traineeship:
The young person attends a combination of a training programme and work placement for a maximum of 6 months which covers the following: • Level 2 Functional Skills Maths • Level 2 Functional Skills English • Level 1 course of your choice depending on career prospects. • 35 hours work experience, which can lead to an apprenticeship or employment.×
We offer a comprehensive suite of qualifications from Entry Level to Level 5 which, include qualifications in: Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care, Care, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Substance Misuse and Health. These qualifications are designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to care for others and manage in a broad range of health or social care settings. Learners can progress to various Higher Education courses.×
We offer a full suite of qualifications covering Levels 1 to 5 for those working with children, young people and their families. They include qualifications in youth work, youth justice, Childminding, playwork, parenting services and childcare. You'll need to be working or volunteering in a role relevant to the course- but other than that, these qualifications are suitable for anyone starting their first job working with children and young people or already managing a service. Learners can progress to various Higher Education courses.×
Youth Work levels 2 and 3- A qualification in Youth Work can help you gain the skills to become a youth support worker or youth and community worker.
You'll learn how to support, encourage and enable young people in a youth-focused environment.
Youth Work is for anyone who is interested in working with young people or in becoming a youth and community worker. You'll need to be involved in youth work, either paid or voluntary, as a setting to undertake the qualification.×
We offer these qualifications at level 2 and 3. They are suitable for those already working as learning support staff in schools. Achieving one of these qualifications demonstrates an individual's ability relating to pupil welfare, care, behaviour and learning.×
Business Administration – level 2, 3 and 4 - A Business administration qualification provide learners with skills needed to progress in a business support role. Areas covered include administration, communication, providing reception services, IT skills and specialist areas including legal and medical.×
We offer levels 3 to 5. These are suitable for those working or want to develop in a range of management positions as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors and junior non-commissioned officers (armed forces).×
We offer level 2 in team leading. This course is for those wishing to start their career in leading a team. You could find yourselves in the following positions as a result of completing the course

The Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance qualifications are for people who are working or looking to work as an Assessor or Internal Quality Assurer. Most students progress into work or to a Teacher Training programme.×
